We collect personal information from you when you place an order on this website or subscribe to the Addis Newsletter. We also collect personal information from you if you order via telephone.

The information we collect would include your name, address, email address and telephone number. If you choose to pay by credit or debit card then the necessary payment details will be collected through a secure payment gateway. We do not store or otherwise process your credit card details directly.

It is necessary for us to collect the personal information of customers who purchase our goods in order to run our business and provide you with tracking information, correct delivery of your order, receive payment for the order and deal with any queries you may have effectively. We take all necessary measures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the information collected from you. All employees that handle your data have the appropriate data protection training to do so.

We use your information to process your order for our goods, to ensure that you are kept up-to-date and notify you of any issues that may arise in the order process.

HOW WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION

The data we collect for your Orders is stored on secure servers based in the UK & EU. Although transmission of information over the Internet cannot be guaranteed as one hundred per cent safe, once we have received your data we will use strict security procedures, data protection tools and anti-virus/hacking technology to prevent data loss or unauthorised access.

We do use a third Party provider for our E-mail Campaigns (competitions and promotions), their data centre is based in San Jose, U.S, our Website provider has signed a data protection addendum to ensure that data subjects continue to be protected even after the data has been transferred outside the EEA.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN INFORMATION

Personal data relating to payments is retained for the minimum statutory periods required by UK law.

The service provider we use for collecting your payment information is a fully certified PCI DSS level 1 payment service provider.

Internally we do retain information relating to orders (on paper and electronically) for 3 months. This is only held to assist us and you with any queries that may arise with your order after delivery. After this period all personal data held on the order is securely shredded or deleted.

PASSING INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

We will not pass on your personal information to a third party, except where it is necessary to deliver our service. We may need our website providers to look into an order if there is a problem with it. This information is processed securely under contract and is deleted once the query is completed.
